University Asia Pacific is one of the fast growing private universities in Bangladesh located in Dhanmondi-1209. The nickname of the university is UAP.

About University Asia Pacific Dhaka

The university was established in the year 1996, according to private university act 1992, as a private university. It has got approval from University Grant Commission, and Ministry of Education of Bangladesh. The vision of the university is to enhance to opportunity of higher education in Bangladesh. It is sponsored by University of Asia Pacific Foundation which is a non –profit organization. The university emphasizes on improved opportunity of education, and innovating education as a need for the society and the nation as a whole. The university had a very humble beginning with only a few students. But at present, the university admits large number of students in both graduate and undergraduate programs every year.

Subjects and Departments

At present, there are 7 faculties in this university. The faculties include- School of Environmental Science and Design, Business, Engineering, Medicine, Science, Law, and Humanities and Social Science. The major departments of the university under these faculties include- department of Architecture, Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Pharmacy, Mathematics, English, Basic Science related Subjects- Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. It provides BBA, MBA, BSc, MSc and Engineering Degrees to the students. The university has a pool of highly qualified and determined teachers who is keen to provide all the assistance to make their way of success smooth. At present, the university has 9 campuses in Dhaka city. It also has academic collaboration with Canada, Australia, and Ireland.

Facilities Available for the Students

University Asia Pacific has a very big central library for the students of all the branches. The students can borrow from and study the books in the library. The library contains thousands of books, journals, and research papers. It has modern laboratories with all the necessary equipments and machineries. The computer lab of the university is very big and has very fast internet connection. It has both indoors and outdoors gaming facility for the students. There are separate common room facilities for both male and female students. There is also prayer room facility for the students.

Admission Procedure and Eligibility

• For admission in the Bachelor of Architecture, the candidates must have combined GPA 7 in SSC and HSC, and the students must be from Science background.

• For admission in B.Sc in Civil, CSE, and EEE, the candidates must have combined GPA 7.50 in both SSC and HSC examinations.

• For admission in BBA, B.A honors in English, and LL.B, the candidates must have combined GPA 6.00 in both SSC and HSC examinations.

• For admission in Pharmacy the minimum required combined GPA is 8.00. The students having GED, O-level and A-level can also apply for admission.

• The candidates will have to apply online through the official website of the university.
