About Stamford University

The university started its operation in the name of Stamford College Group in the year 1994. But in the year 2002 it got recognition from Education Ministry and UGC as a full-fledged university in Bangladesh. Stamford University Bangladesh belongs to globally reputed Stamford University and College group that has operation and campuses in 160 countries around the world. The university was established because of the growing need of higher education and the lack of facilities in the public universities in Bangladesh. At present, there are about 12,000 students studying in various graduate and undergraduate programs of the university. The university is devoted to build the intellectual capability of the students so that they can meet the social need of the society and the country.

Subjects and Departments

The university has many faculties including Business, Arts and Humanity, Science, and Engineering. The university provides 4 year BBA degree and MBA degree for the students. The subjects in the Business School include- Finance, Accounting, Management, Marketing, Tourism and Hospitality management etc. The university provides Electronics and Electrical engineering, computer engineering, and architectural engineering education to the students. Besides it offers Honors and Masters in English, Social Science, Political Science, journalism and many other subjects. The amount of scholarship and waiver is determined based on the results of the students in the semester final examinations. Admission Procedure and Eligibility

• For students of Science background and Business background, the students must have minimum GPA 2.5 in each HSC and SSC examination.
• The O-level and A-level students must have 5 and 2 subjects consecutively with minimum grade of C and 3 subjects.
• The students have to sit for 70 marks MCQ exam which will cover subjects- English, GK, Quantitative Aptitude etc. The selected candidates will have to sit for a viva voce.
• The students can apply online through the official website of the university. Only the selected candidates will be allowed to get admission in the university.
