The college was established in the year 1966. Since the establishment the college has been operating with goodwill in spreading women education in Bangladesh. It is the only women college in Bangladesh which is also providing both honors and masters degree to only the women students. The students of this college have brought much reputation to the college from various public examinations.

Admission

The students have to apply for admission through SMS. The SMS has to be sent to 16222 in a certain format. Teletalk mobile service gives this support. The format for sending the message is given below: Example: CAD 108352(college code) Board (first 3 letters) Roll Year and then send it to 16222. The students may take assistance from the help desk of the college regarding the admission procedure. The number of seat for Science, Business, and Humanity is consecutively 350, 670, and 180. For Science major, the students must have minimum GPA 3.00 in SSC, for Business studies 3.00 and for Humanity 2.00.
