Narsingdi Polytechnic Institute was established in the year 2006 with a view to providing quality technical education to the students.
The aim of the institute is to serve the nation through providing job oriented
education and combine both the theoretical and practical aspect of education. The institute has been able to build strong reputation in Bangladesh since its inauguration. It is approved by the ministry of
education of Bangladesh government. It prepares the students such a way that they are rapidly absorbed in the labour market after successful completion of their course.
Departments and Subjects
Narsingdi Polytechnic Institute is one of the new polytechnic institutes in Bangladesh. At present it is providing diploma engineering in computer, civil, refrigeration, air conditioning and food. It has energetic and qualified teachers who are committed to put the best effort to give the students the best technical education so that they can cope up challenges in the job market. It has about 1600 students enrolled in various programs and courses. To fulfil the needs of the increasing students the institute has opened 2nd shift program.
Facilities Available for the Students
It is a non-resident polytechnic institute. Hence, there is no hostel facility available for the students. The institute has a large library for the students with thousands of domestic and foreign books. There is a medical centre for the students for primary medication. The institute has security system for the safety of the students. The labs are filled will a lot of modern equipment so that the students can gain practical knowledge as well as theoretical knowledge.
Admission Procedure and Eligibility
The candidates have to sit for an admission test to get admitted in the institute. The admission test for the admission of in the polytechnic institute is run by the Directorate of Technical Education.
The candidates have to pass SSC or any equivalent examination with minimum GPA 3.00 to be able to apply for the admission. The GPA in math and higher math must not be below 3.00 in SSC examination.
The students must bring the original registration card and the admit card in the admission test day. Otherwise, they won’t be allowed to sit for the test.

The institute is located in the main town of Narsingdi, police lines. The campus is located 56 km from the capital Dhaka. The campus is very quiet and calm and free from all kinds of violence.
