The university was established in the year 2003 by a prominent social worker of Bangladesh named Dr. Toufique Rahman Chowdhury. The University has been established according to private university act 1992 which was later revised in the year 1998 and 2010. The university follows the updates rules and regulations of the private university act to maintain its reputation. The University is approved by the University Grant Commission and Ministry of Education of Bangladesh. The mission of the University is to provide better education to meet the changing needs of 21st century. The vision of the university is “True Education, True Nation and Fostering the Development Mainly of Our Country.” The university and its authorities have been working hard to provide proper education and build up a technically efficient and productive manpower.
Subjects and Departments
The university provides education in various disciplines. It offers B.Sc, B.A, M.A, BBA, MBA, Engineering and various other degrees to the students. Principal subjects of BBA include Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Management, MIS, Tourism and Human Resource Management. The university provides Engineering degree in computer science, electronics and electrical and architecture. The teachers of the university are highly educated and willing to provide the best and modern education with up to date information.
Facilities Available for the Students
The university offers various kinds of scholarships to the underprivileged and meritorious students. It provides 100% waiver in tuition fee for the students who scored A+ in both SSC and HSC examinations. 75% tuition fee waiver for the students securing grade A in SSC and HSC. 50% of tuition fee is waived for the students having grade point 9 combine GPA of both SSC and HSC. It provides 25% waiver for the candidates having combined GPA 8 in SSC and HSC. The waivers will continue for one year and will be continued based on the performance of the students in the term results. It has hostel facility for the girls in the heart of the city. The hostels have 24/7 water and electric supply.
Admission Procedure and Eligibility
The university admits students three times in a year. They are- Spring Term (January to April), Summer Term (May to August), Autumn Term (September to December).
The students will have to collect the admission form from the admission office and submit the admission form with all the necessary documents- certificates, mark sheets, testimonials, and passport size color photos.
The admission committee will evaluate and verify the papers and then allow the students to get admission in the university.
