BRTC is the short form of Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation. BRTC Bus Service provides whole over the Bangladesh. The organization is a
transportation company for passengers and cargo.
It is a government owned organization. It was established in 1961. After independence, it re-organized again. Now, it has own of 1116 number of buses and 140 number of trucks. It has a bus depot at Kamlapur, near the railway station and another is at Fulbaria near Gulish-than. Inter-district services are operated from there.

The company operates road transport services for passengers and cargo. It provides safe, reliable and efficient transportation service at an affordable cost. BRTC facilitates private sector in transport service and introduction of new routes. It plays a strategic interventional role at the time of emergency. The organization promotes tourism. They operate a driving school. They provide training facilities for Drivers, Mechanics and in transport, management to develop skilled manpower in the road transport sector.
