About World University
The university got the approval to start its journey on February 26, 2003. It was established according to the private university act 1992 which was later revised in the year 1998 and 2010. At this moment the university is following the updated rules and regulations of the private university act. It is approved by the University Grant Commission and the Ministry of Education of Bangladesh. The university has a board of trustee. The board governs the University as a nonprofit concern. The university is a member of the Association of Private Universities of Bangladesh. It is also a proud member of Association of Commonwealth Universities and Quality Assurance, and Improvement Council. The University is aimed at providing practical education for economic freedom of people.
Admission Procedure and Eligibility
The students must have passed with minimum GPA-2.5 in both SSC and HSC examination with combined GPA not below 6.
The O-Level and A-Level students can also apply for admission. But they must have at least 5 subjects and O-level and two subjects in A-level with grade B in four subjects and C in the remaining subjects.
The students have to collect the admission form from the university campus during the office hours. The candidates have to submit the form with all the required documents (certificates, mark sheets, and testimonials).
Subjects and Departments
The university has nine faculties. The departments of the university include- Computer Science, Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Textile, Mechatronics, Civil, Pharmacy, Law, Business and English. The university provides Engineering, B.Sc. BBA and MBA degree to the students. The university has a group of committed and well-educated teachers with the vision to provide the best education to the society. The students of the University have been successful in the job market to secure their place.
Facilities Available for the Students
The university has a tremendous library will all be updated text and reference books along with newspapers, periodicals, and research papers. The sitting arrangement of the library is very comfortable, and there exists a peaceful environment where the students can study without any distraction. The university has some clubs where the students can participate to enhance their out of book knowledge which is vital for real life. The clubs of the university include- Computer, Pharmacy, Adventure, Textile, Sports, and Photography Club. The University has a cafeteria for the students which provides quality foods for the students. There are separate common rooms for both male and female students. It has indoor gaming facility for the students. The university gives about 10 to 100 percent scholarships to the meritorious and needy students as a study aid. The sons and daughters of the freedom fighters get free education from this university.
