Bangladesh Survey Institute in Comilla is one of the oldest educational institutions in Bangladesh. The nick name of the institute is BSI. The institute was established in the year 1914. It is a public institute. The institute is concerned with teaching surveying technology. It is a technical educational institution. The institute is monitored and regulated by Bangladesh Technical Education Board. It provides diploma engineering in survey. The length of the course is four years long. The teaching is provided in two shifts to the students. The students of this institute are working in various national and international institutions related to this education. Rules of the Institute The students have to follow strict rules in the institute. The students must have 85% attendance in the class to be able to sit for the final admission. The students having attendance below 85% can’t sit for exam and are subject to monetary punishment.

Facilities Available for the Students

The institute has a library that has been established recently. The education minister of Bangladesh government will inaugurate this library very soon. The students are given all kinds of survey materials which are necessary for learning by the institute. There is a mosque within the institute where the students can perform their prayer. There is also hostel facility for the students.

Admission Procedure and Eligibility

Each year the institute admits 40 students. The admission takes place according to the rules and regulations of Directorate of Technical Education. To get admission in the institute the students must have passed SSC or equivalent examinations with minimum GPA-3.00 The students have to sit for a admission test. The successful candidates in the admission test are admitted according to their merit position.
