About Madaripur
Madaripur is a district under Dhaka Division. It turned into a district in 1984. The area is 1144 square kilometers. The city Stands on the bank of the Arial Kha river. The district was named after Sufi saint Badruddin Shah Madar (15th century). The boat race is one of the main festivals in here.
