History of Kobi Nazrul College
It is one of the oldest colleges in Bangladesh. British rulers had established in the year 1874. It is a public college. The college provides education to students ranging from eleventh grade to eighteen. It is one of the largest colleges in Bangladesh. However, the name of the college is an outcome of evolution. In the beginning, the name of the college was Dhaka Madrasha. Later it was transformed into Dhaka High Madrasha in 1915. Later, it was called Dhaka Government Muslim High School. In the process, after the liberation war 1971, in the year 1972, Kabi Nazrul Government College is its present name.

Subjects and Departments
The college provides both higher secondary level education and graduate level education. For HSC level the college follows the rules, regulations, and curriculum determined by Education board. On the other hand, for graduate level education the college follows the rules of National University, Bangladesh. The departments of graduation level include- Accounting, Management, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics, Bangla, English, Arabic, History, Philosophy, and Islamic Studies.

Admission Procedure and Eligibility
HSC and graduate level students can admit the college. The college provides Science, Humanities, and Business Studies. They flow the rules of the National University. The students have to collect admission form and receipt from the admission office of the college and then submit it with paid receipt. The amount given in the receipt has to be paid in a bank assigned by the office.
