DUET Engineering University

The institution is  offering four-year Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Industrial and Production Engineering, Textile Engineering and Five-year Bachelor of Architecture.  Candidates with a diploma in engineering are eligible to take admission for the Bachelor degree programs of engineering and architecture. Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology is one of the nine premier Ph.D. granting research institutes of Bangladesh. Each year more than 540 students enroll in the UG programs to become the future engineers and architectures of the country and contribute to the development of their land. Students of this premier varsity have reached offshore institutes for their further studies and research with government awarded stipend and even from the aids of the foreign universities as well. The present ranking of the institute in global scenario is 8486.

Admission procedure and eligibility

The Admission Notification is published on the official website in every year. Candidates are requested to visit the official website www.duet.ac.bd to get the updated information of the Admission Test date and the exact day when they are about to publish the site. Candidates, appearing for the engineering programs are supposed to have a diploma on the same. Rest who are interested in seeking admission in the UG or PG programs should have Physics, chemistry and mathematics along with English in their HSC levels. They are expected to have achieved minimum 50% in those subjects before appearing for the admission test conducted by the Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology. Foreign Students communicate directly with the office administration.

Hostels and Accommodation

Total there are 8 Halls of residence for the students of the Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology. Each of the Halls is managed by a provost. There are Two Halls for Female students and Six halls for Male students. Usually, the university halls are named after renowned personalities of Bangladesh.
