History and Background of Badrunnesa College
The college was established in the year 1948. In the beginning, the name of the college was
Eden Girls College. In 1962, Eden Girls College established its permanent new campus in Azimpur area. From then the older campus of the Bakshibazar area has been renamed as Begum Badrunnesa Govt. Girls College. It is a government
college in Bangladesh that is concerned with providing education to the girls. The college's mission is to improve the women education and Bangladesh and promote the contribution of women in the society.

Subjects and Departments
The college provides all the topics determined by the
Bangladesh Education Board to the intermediate or higher secondary level students for the majors of Humanities, Business Studies, and Science. However, the educational activity of the college is not limited to the intermediate level education only. It has started to provide Honors degree in 16 subjects from 2004. The college has also got the approval for providing Masters Degree in Economics, Bangla, English, Sociology, History, and Home Economics.

Admission Procedure and Eligibility
The students who have passed SSC can get admitted to the institution for intermediate education. The students have to apply through a form available on the website of the college and then submit it to the college office with all the necessary documents.
The college authority will hang the list of the qualified candidates for admission in the notice board. However, the students with Golden A+ will be admitted directly.
The Graduation level students are admitted according to rules of National University. The candidates have to sit for an admission test to be selected to get accepted in Graduation courses.
