BPSC is the short form of Bangladesh Public Service Commission. It is a government organizes. It regulates all type Bangladesh Civil Service Examination.
BPSC publishes circular for BCS examination in the popular daily newspapers and their official website whenever there is the vacancy. So far, from the independence of Bangladesh 34, BCS examinations have been conducted. BPSC published the circular for the 35th BCS on 23 September 2014. BPSC announces the circular in the reputed daily newspapers and the official website. The last date for the application was 30th October 2014.

The authority divides the Cadre services into two categories. They are general cadres and technical cadres. The general cadre services include Administration, Ansar, Audit, Co-operative, Economics, Family Planning, Food, Foreign, Information Technology, and Police, etc. The number of seats in general cadre for which the candidates will have to compete is 455. For professional cadres such as Health, Agriculture, Statistics, Railway, and Forest the number of seats is 484. For cadre education number of the seat is 864. So the total vacant position is 1803.
The candidates must have completed graduation for being able to apply for BCS examination. The students with appeared Certificate of Honours degree can also apply. If any candidates have a third class in any examination SSC/HSC/ Graduation, he or she cannot apply for BCS examination. The Eligible candidates can apply online through the BPSC website. After the submission of application, the students will be given an applicant ID. With the ID the students have to send SMS to 16222 though Teletalk Mobile Service paying 700 TK (General Students), and 100 TK (Tribal and Autistics). The format of SMS: BCSID then send to 16222. In the Reply message, you will be informed that TK 700 or 100 will be cut from balance. For authorizing this, you have to send another SMS. For example BCSYesPIN and send to 16222.
The candidates are evaluated in three steps. They are Preliminary, Written, and Viva, etc. The candidates have to sit for a 200 marks preliminary exam for 2 hours with negative marking of .50 for every wrong answer. The candidates successful in the MCQ part have to sit for written examination. The selection finishes with an oral examination. The subjects and syllabus are on their website of BPSC.

The examination will take place in 6th March Friday 2015. The time of preliminary examination is from 3.00 PM to 5.00 PM. The candidates must take their seat in the exam hall at 2.25 PM. The seating plan is available on the BPSC website.
The Bangladesh Public Service Commission will inform the date of the publication of the result of the Preliminary examination through newspaper and their official website.
