United International University is a private university in Bangladesh. It is at Satmosjid Road, Dhanmondi. The nickname of the University is UIU.

The university had established in the year 2003 according to the private university act 1992. The University Grant Commission (UGC) and Ministry of Education of Bangladesh have approved the University. The objective of the University is to provide high-quality education to the students so that they can contribute in Business, Social, and Public Organizations. The university has joint degree programs with USA, UK, Canadian, and Australian Universities. Since the establishment, the University has been playing a very crucial role in the developing the education quality and system in the private universities.

Subjects and Departments

The university has five faculties- School of Business and Economics, School of Science and Engineering, English Language Institute, Institute of Natural Science, and Institute for Business and Economic Research. It provides BBA, BBA in AIS, MBA (Regular), MBA (Executive) degrees to the students of the School of Business. The University offers the degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering under the School of Science and Engineering. The university has a pool of well educated and distinguished faculties who are committed to providing the best education to the students.

It has computer labs, electrical and electronic labs, and central energy research lab for the students. The labs are well equipped with all kinds of modern up to date equipment and machinery. Admission Procedure and Eligibility

• For undergraduate admission, the students must have at least GPA 2.5 in SSC and HSC examination separately. For admission in AIS department, the candidates must have combined GPA of 7.00 adding the GPA of both SSC and HSC examinations.

• The O-level candidates must have completed at least five subjects and the A-level candidates two topics. Of the seven subjects, the students must have achieved 4.00 in 4 subjects and 3.5 in other three subjects.

• The candidates having GED are allowed to get admission having minimum point 410 out of 800.

• The students will have to collect the admission form in the working days between 9.00 am to 5.00 pm paying Tk. 1000 (nonrefundable).
